Assessment report of coastal municipalities
PROJECT: Assessment report of coastal municipalities
The overall objective of this report is to understand the impact of urban planning and its implementation on the Spanish Maritime-Terrestrial Public Domain (DPMT) and adjacent land (Protection easement zone: ZSP) since the enactment of Law 22/1988, of July 28, on Coasts.
The aim is to obtain qualitative information on the following issues:
- The treatment of the protection of the DPMT and adjacent land in urban planning, General Urban Development Plans and Subsidiary Planning Regulations of Spanish coastal municipalities.
- The degree to which urban planning has incorporated the necessary determinations to guarantee the protection of the DPMT and adjacent lands (ZSP), among others, those related to coastal dynamics and climate change.
- Facilities (infrastructure, equipment, services,…) of urban planning and consequences in the DPMT, adjacent lands (ZSP) and their uses.
- Effects of planning schemes on the DPMT and adjacent lands (ZSP) of coastal municipalities from an environmental perspective.
- Identifying the main challenges facing the DPMT protection policy from the perspective of urban planning.
