Cordoba Municipal Housing Plan
PROJECT: Municipal Housing Plan of Córdoba
The Córdoba Municipal Housing and Land Plan aims to address the numerous questions that have arisen regarding the development of housing and land policies as a consequence of the standstill caused by the major economic crisis
that began in 2008. Its primary objective is to plan a housing supply that realistically and feasiblely responds to the demand expressed by the citizens of Córdoba.
In any case, now is the time to seize the opportunity to build a new model based on principles and parameters radically different from those that governed development until five years ago.
The goal is to satisfy unmet demand by decisively intervening in the land and housing market through public initiatives, adjusting prices, housing types, and tenure systems. This intervention must consider the multifaceted variety of new households and cohabiting or family units that have emerged, returning to the compact, dense, socially and functionally integrated city model that Córdoba has historically represented and that the POTA (Municipal Housing and Land Plan) advocates.
