PROJECT: Specific Modification of the General Urban Development Plan of Almería in the Puche area

The purpose of this work is to modify the detailed planning established by the 1998 General Urban Development Plan of Almería and by the planning that develops it in the area of ​​the El Puche neighborhood, in order to facilitate the achievement of the socio-urban objectives defined for the Integrated Rehabilitation Area, delimited by the

Andalusian Regional Government.

The main features of the proposed detailed ordinance are:

• Create an internal functional structure for the scope.
• Improve the relationship between the different areas of the region (Puche Norte, Puche Centro,
• Puche Sur and Polygon 2 of Sector 8), continuing and rationalizing the existing road structure.
• To balance the conditions of land occupation through a structure of open spaces that serves as a connection between the different areas of the site (Puche
• North, Puche Centro, Puche Sur and Polygon 2 of Sector 8), and that at the same time serves as support for urban interrelation as well as commercial and service activities.
• Support the environmental improvement of the riverbank, giving continuity to the planned promenade.
• To define a planning area that allows: Articulating the different existing typologies (Puche Norte and Puche Sur), with the new fabric to be implemented in Puche Centro, through mechanisms that serve both to fit the new types as well as a transition with those already consolidated; the reorganization of the residential fabric of Puche Centro, replacing the housing of El Puche Centro with new housing that allows the relocation of most of the residents within the area and acting on the housing of both El Puche Norte and Puche Sur, rehabilitating them and also requalifying the public open spaces between blocks.
