St. Exupéry – French Lycée
PROJECT: Renovation and Expansion of the St. Exupéry Annex of the French Lycée
The building addresses the expansion needs of the Saint Exupéry nursery school, an annex of the French Lycée in Madrid.
The architectural proposal pursues three main objectives:
Respectful integration with the existing urban landscape and architectural features. Architectural integration is achieved through the use of brick from the existing building on the facades of the common services building, visually complementing the existing structure. A lighter, glazed, and colored structure rests on top of this, aligning with the geometry of the existing building.
FORMAL AND CONCEPTUAL UNIQUENESS that conveys an image of modernity that contributes positively to reinforcing the social perception of the role of cultural vanguard of the French Lyceum.
FUNCTIONALITY, without compromise, with strict compliance with the space program, resolution of access, flows of people and goods, security and logistics, opting for construction solutions and systems suitable for quality, cost, durability and ease of management and maintenance, all within the planned budgetary possibilities.
