PROJECT: Tlemcen Hospital

The proposed Tlemecen Health Centre consists of three buildings: the Hospital, the Teaching and Research Building, and the Facilities Building.

The Hospital consists of a three-story base from which six hospitalization modules emerge, each with five floors. It also has a basement in the northern part of the building, taking advantage of the natural slope of the plot, which contains a parking area of ​​about 350 spaces and a gallery of facilities.

Regarding the hospital's morphology, priority was given to horizontal relationships, a humanized image, and the building's scale. The floor plan is guided by the presence of courtyards arranged in a sequential grid pattern, providing a clear understanding of the spaces and giving users a quick grasp of the building's topological organization. We therefore propose a scheme based on the creation of sequenced modules that provide visual unity to the whole.

The complex is located on a very large plot of land, allowing for reserve areas for future expansion. The size, shape, and topography of the site are well-suited to a healthcare facility of this type. A road with two lanes in each direction, a central median, and wide sidewalks is planned to surround the complex, which seems ideal for access to the hospital.
