PROJECT: Auditorium, University Hospital 12 de Octubre

Within the framework of the Master Plan for the renovation and replacement of the 12 de Octubre Hospital, the Auditorium is integrated into the only area of ​​the existing building that is being preserved and renovated, following the completion of the new Technical Block.
The Auditorium's renovation was brought forward within this plan due to dampness problems detected in the roof. Furthermore, the objective has been to improve the Auditorium's functionality in terms of accessibility, acoustics, comfort, and the incorporation of audiovisual equipment for hosting conferences, training sessions, internal meetings, and cultural events.
The challenge has been to integrate all of this into an existing structure and achieve a renewed final result for what is an emblematic space within the hospital complex.

• Complete renovation of interior finishes and part of the partition walls in the lobby and living room.
• Improvement of accessibility to the different spaces.
• Improvement of the acoustic conditions of the room.
• Adaptation of the distribution of server spaces, including the necessary technical rooms.
• Adaptation of spaces and structure for the incorporation of the new audiovisual media equipment.
• Complete renovation of all facilities, guaranteeing maximum comfort.
• Replacement of the entire roof waterproofing system.
